The Project committee of Kilwarlin Moravian Church’s ‘Finding Zula’s Hollow’ Project, have great pleasure in inviting you, your friends and the whole of the Hellenic Community of Ireland to a day of discovery. It will be held at Kilwarlin Moravian church just outside Hillsborough, Co. Down.
 
On Saturday 11^th May 2019, from 12:45 – 3:30pm, we will be ‘Discovering the Secrets of Zula’s Hollow’.
 
The National Lottery Heritage fund, and Lisburn and Castlereagh City council have generously funded a one-year project to seek to uncover the secrets that have been hidden or obscured, some for nearly 180 years.
 
We are coming to the end of the initial searching; archaeologists, hydro geologists, historical researchers and willing volunteers have investigated high and low and we are ready for the conclusions.
 
Through pictures, videos, stories, questions and answers and an actual tour of the Historic Battlefield Garden, you will be treated to the story of Rev. Basil Patras Zula and the little bit of Greece that now inhabits Co. Down. Focusing us on the Battle of Thermopylae in 480BCE and what led a Greek Chieftain, fresh from escaping the siege of Missolonghi in the Ottoman wars to come to Kilwarlin Co. Down, revitalize a dying church and build a unique historic garden. A fascinating look at heritage and living history among us.
 
We will be starting with light lunch and refreshments.

The Hellenic Community of Ireland (HCI) with the support of the CHQ and EPIC The Irish Immigration Museum, proudly presents the “3rd Greek Business and Arts Festival”.

The festival will take place in CHQ, Custom House Quay, Docklands, Dublin 1 on Sunday 24th February from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Festival is a touch of Greece. On the day you will taste Greek products and meet with Greek and Cypriot entrepreneurs and artists from a wide spectrum:

3rd Greek Business and Arts Festival

The Hellenic Community of Ireland (HCI) is composed mainly of people with Greek and Cypriot origin, Irish-Greek families and families where both partners are Greek.

The Greek Business and Arts Festival is primarily an immersion process into Irish Society for all those people as well as an opportunity to learn how to do business in Ireland. Its purpose is to:

• Network Greek and Cypriot artists residing in Ireland
• Network businesses by Greeks and Cypriots residing in Ireland
• Expose both categories to the public
• Connect Greek and Irish Businesses from Greece, Cyprus and Ireland
• Match the Irish Know-how to do business with the entrepreneurial gift of Greeks

HCI Entrepreneurship “Passport to business”

HCI is working with Bolton Trust and the Institute of Minority Entrepreneurship, DIT, to train as many Greek entrepreneurs as possible. We provide The Guinness Enterprise Center as the next step in order to nourish and support start ups.

HCI is also looking at the opportunities that the economy in Greece offers for entrepreneurs and how the Irish experience can be transferred. We work with different bodies to that effect including the Irish Embassy in Athens.

HCI would like to create a measurable social impact that can be scaled all over Ireland. We have local representatives/volunteers that provide practical help to other co patriots. HCI aspires to be the model for other communities.

Dear parents, teachers and associates of the Greek Language Education in Great Britain and North Europe.

Η Ελληνική Κοινότητα Ιρλανδίας οργανώνει το 3ο Business & Arts Festival (B&A Festival). Το φεστιβάλ θα πραγματοποιηθεί την τελευταία Κυριακή του Φλεβάρη, στις 24 του μηνός, σε κεντρικό σημείο στο Δουβλίνο με ελεύθερη είσοδο για το κοινό. Λεπτομέριες θα ανακοινωθούν προσεχώς.

Το Business & Arts Festival είναι μια έκθεση έργων τέχνης και προϊόντων-υπηρεσιών από Έλληνες και Κύπριους καλλιτέχνες και επιχειρηματίες που είτε ζουν, δημιουργούν και εργάζονται στην Ιρλανδία είτε επιθυμούν να δραστηριοποιηθούν στην Ιρλανδική αγορά. Επιπλέον η έκθεση συμβάλλει στη γνωριμία των μελών και φίλων της κοινότητας, στη δημιουργία δεσμών αλληλοϋποστήριξης και στην ένταξή τους στη Ιρλανδική κοινωνία.

Σήμερα πραγματοποιήθηκε η Γενική Συνέλευση της Ελληνικής Κοινότητας Ιρλανδίας.

• Παρουσιάστηκε απολογισμός πεπραγμένων του απερχόμενου Δ.Σ.
   
• Παρουσιάστηκε και ψηφίστηκε ο οικονομικός απολογισμός του απερχόμενου Δ.Σ.
   
• Πραγματοποιήθηκαν εκλογές για την ανάδειξη νέου Δ.Σ. Η σύνθεση του νέου Δ.Σ. έχει ως εξής:
